Art Deco style floor lamp made in the 70s in Murano glass

Floor lamp forming a column whose body is made of glass tubes placed on a brass base and topped with a glass lampshade forming a flowered basin. The light fixture is electrified: it has bulbs inside the column as well as in the basin. This typically art deco style floor lamp was made in the 1970s in murano glass. It was at the end of the 18th century that the tradition of murano glass appeared when venice decided to isolate its glassmakers on the island of murano in order to avoid fires in the city. All murano glass pieces are handmade by master glassmakers using ancient traditional techniques. Murano glass is one of the most beautiful and qualitative glass productions in the world.
