This sumptuous vase is made of crystal, probably from the saint-louis factory. This model is made of red-lined crystal. The overlay technique is a specialty of the saint-louis baccarat crystal works: a first parison of transparent crystal is covered with a second red parison, then it is cut to reveal the underlying crystal.
