A pair of glazed earthenware bowls from the Salins-les-Bains pottery. Their free biomorphic shape evokes a stylised leaf, typical of 1950s table design. Their soft, slightly asymmetrical form gives them a very unique decorative presence. The glaze reveals a stunning gradient from moss green to beige and terracotta, achieved using a spraying technique akin to a true ceramic airbrush, creating a particularly elegant powdered and nuanced effect. The oval bowl-shaped centre, surrounded by soft reliefs, recalls certain modernised variants of slipware, reinterpreted in a more graphic and contemporary spirit. Stamped Salins France. In excellent vintage condition. Length 18 cm, width 17 cm, height 3 cm. Perfect for a mix & match table or an interior inspired by mid-century design and organic shapes.
