Vintage modernist lounge chair – Scandinavian 1950s-1960s

Elegant vintage wooden armchair, featuring a geometric design characteristic of modernist furniture from the 1950s-1960s. The structure has particularly light lines, with slender slightly angled legs, straight armrests, and sides reinforced by diagonal supports creating a graphic "V" pattern. The backrest and seat are removable, upholstered in pale yellow fabric with fine ribs, providing a lovely contrast to the warm tone of the wood. The backrest consists of a wooden panel dressed on its front face. The whole retains a simple and functional construction typical of furniture from this period. Some signs of use and marks on the wood and fabric are visible, consistent with its age. No attribution to a designer or manufacturer can be made in the absence of a label. Period: circa 1950-1960.
