Description
Christian Durupt was a French cabinetmaker who worked in the 1960s and who was known for his creations in solid wood. He notably collaborated with Charlotte Perriand for the development of ski resorts. Steeped in history, this rare suite of stools comes from the Méribel ski resort in France. The stool with a thick square seat rests on a slightly tapered quadripod base, all in solid pine. The whole has been restored. Origin: Méribel, France, circa 1960.
