Roche Bobois oval table, white laminate and chrome, 1970s

Here is a dining table that you rarely find. It is magnificent and in good state of conservation. It dates from the early 1970s and shows some small traces of classic use visible depending on the lighting used (in grazing white light). Its oval top is in matte white liquid laminate and its central foot in chrome-plated stainless steel. Its foot has a base of 5 spokes in shiny chrome-plated solid metal. Each leg is adjustable. The finishes are superb: the top is lined with medium oak-colored rosewood in the shape of an airplane wing, typical of knoll creations. Its top, in good condition above and below, is resistant to scratches and stains, except of course wine, coffee, coca cola which can damage it unless they are immediately cleaned. There are only a few small scratches from 70 years of use. Obviously this table has been well maintained. It is directly inspired by vintage italian design of the time, in a purist approach to interior design. The foot, which is rather heavy, can be disassembled for transport. Thanks to its iconic minimalist design, this table is extremely versatile and can be used in both a dining room/living room and an office space. We eat around 6 comfortably.
