The ait bou sbaa rug, from the ouled bou sbaa tribe, "bousbaa" which means "lion" in arabic, is a nomadic tribe living in morocco and mauritania, as well as in western sahara. They trade from senegal to marrakech. The most recently arrived tribe in the region, claims a chorfa origin. Their traditional history was important in the landscape of mauritanian tribes and their amazing, unique carpets have gained more wealth and power in recent years.
