Set of Halabala-style Art Deco nightstands with bakelite handles

A unique set of nightstands from the former Czechoslovakia, designed in the style of Jindřich Halabala. A defining feature is the faux-grain finish, in which a burl-like grain pattern was hand-painted by a craftsman. Because this finish cannot be traditionally restored, these nightstands remain in their original condition. Nevertheless, the surface is still in exceptionally good condition. There are slight signs of age and small stains visible that bear witness to the history of these nightstands. Each nightstand features two drawers that close with Bakelite handles. These nightstands are in good vintage condition. Any special features or imperfections are noted in the photos or the description.
