Large lamp 108 cm Hebe Greek goddess 1960s
Very large lamp measuring 108 cm representing the Greek goddess HEBE, made of moulded resin with a cream lacquer finish enhanced by a dark brown patina in the recesses. The female figure is draped in a finely detailed classical chiton; she holds an amphora in her left hand and a twisted staff in the style of a caduceus in her right hand, the latter incorporating the brass metal electrical stem. The ivory fabric lampshade, in a scalloped dome shape, is adorned with a double row of tapered brown and gold fringes with cream pom-poms, in a typical Hollywood Regency style from the 1960s-1970s. The lamp rests on a flattened circular base and is equipped with a bronze-coloured electrical cable with an independent square switch. The whole shows visible wear, particularly on the twisted stem and in the patina highlights, consistent with prolonged use — sold as is. Dimensions: height 108 cm, width 46 cm, depth 20 cm, weight 15 kg.
