Description: This delightful coffee table was designed by victor wilkins and produced by british furniture manufacturing company g-plan in the mid-twentieth century. G plan - e. Gomme ltd were based in high wycombe, england, a major centre of british furniture manufacturing. The company was revered for its range of high-quality sideboards, tables, and other cabinet goods and for pioneering the concept of furniture sets designed and made to match. The popular 'fresco' coffee table often referred to as an 'astro' table has a beautiful solid teak frame with an X shaped based and removable central glass insert. The piece has a beautiful teak grain, warm tones and rich colours throughout. Item sku: Condition: We have carefully stripped this coffee table and refinished it with a coat of matt lacquer for a durable and lasting finish. The glass is in used condition and as you would expect from a vintage item has some very minor traces of use. The table is also available with the option of a brand new glass insert. We try to capture the condition of our items in our photographs as best as possible. Prior to dispatch all items are carefully cleaned and re-coated with danish oil to ensure your item is looking its best when delivered. This item is in very good condition with no faults.
