Did you know: Michael THONET (1829 – 1910) was born in Germany in 1796, the carpenter and furniture designer Michael Thonet played a key role in the development of the modern movement thanks to the invention of the wood bending process. A great cabinetmaker/designer of the 19th and 20th centuries, Mickael Thonet is today one of the most famous brands in Scandinavian and Czech furniture. He was the first to bend and fold wood in his joinery. Finally, like many pieces of furniture made in the former Czechoslovakia, the Boomerang model can be dismantled.
