1960s NAPAKO Modernist Black Glass Pendant Light, Czechoslovakia

Distinctive Mid-Century Modern pendant light by NAPAKO, Type 1330, produced in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s. The fixture combines a broad circular black lacquered metal housing with a large glass diffuser and chrome-plated structural details. Its low-profile geometric form, contrasting black and chrome finish, and softly illuminated glass give the piece a strong Modernist and Space Age presence. The restrained industrial construction reflects the progressive approach to lighting design found in postwar Czechoslovakia.
