Vallauris style burgundy slip candle holder

Pretty burgundy colored ceramic candle holder with a handle which has a rather original pleated ribbon shape. It probably dates from the 60s with its lines which still hesitate a little between the art deco style of the first half of the 20th century and the freer forms of the 60-70 period. It is not signed but could come from a vallauris workshop. It has a detail that puzzled me for a moment: a “gutter” underneath. But I think I finally understood: it was probably designed to possibly be electrifiable by providing it with a socket on the barrel! And this channel allows you to pass the electrical cable without destabilizing the candle holder, it will always remain flat. It is in good general condition, solid, no cracks, but does not hide its age: a relatively large chip on the enameling (7mm by 6mm) which is fortunately located at the base of the ribbon, chips on the edge of the barrel (the largest measures 7mm by 1mm) and other small chips on the braided base. This candle holder measures 7 cm in height, 14.5 cm in width, the round base has a diameter of 10 cm.
