Large Art Deco style pendant light made of Capiz shells and brass, geometric floral patterns, 1960s. Description: Large vintage pendant light dating from the mid-20th century (Art Deco inspired style / retro design from the 1960s-1970s), traditionally made from Capiz shells (natural translucent mother-of-pearl) assembled like a stained glass window with a gold metal structure. The upper dome is formed of regular geometric pieces that diffuse a soft, warm glow. The lower border is adorned with an elegant frieze of stylised flowers made up of mother-of-pearl petals in subtly pink and orange hues with hexagonal centres. Once illuminated, the pendant reveals the organic beauty, pearlescent texture, and iridescent reflections of the material. Technical specifications: • Type: Pendant / Lampshade. • Era: circa 1960-1970. • Materials: Capiz shells (mother-of-pearl), brass/metal structure. • Base diameter: 45.5 cm. • Neck diameter: 8 cm. • Height: 25 cm. • Fixing system: Original upper ring for standard chandelier mounting. Condition: Overall good condition considering the age and fragility of the material. There are slight wear and localized micro-chips on the edges of two petals (see last photo). These minor signs of use remain discreet and do not detract from its charm or overall sturdiness. Shipping: The item will be packaged with the utmost care (reinforced protection, double box if necessary) and shipped with a tracking number and appropriate insurance to ensure safe transport.
