Limoges set of 6 jammet seignolles porcelain flat plates with gold and pink decor 22cm

This superb series of 6 dinner plates is in limoges porcelain by decorator jammet seignolles. Dating from the mid-20th century, the plates are decorated with a fuschia pink border surrounded by two gold borders. Limoges porcelain factories have been renowned since the 18th century. Porcelain makers have been rewarded several times during their participation in world exhibitions in london, paris, vienna, philadelphia and chicago. In 1925, the international exhibition of decorative arts gave limoges the title of “international capital of porcelain”. Inspired, at all times, by trends in decoration and fashion, the limoges table is synonymous with the french art of living. Lafarge was a manufacturer and decorator. Limoges porcelain is exceptionally white and translucent. Of high quality, the pieces are worked with finesse and the ornaments are elegant. In good condition, these plates bear the mark "jammet seignolles - limoges france exclusivity". I point out traces of use - small chips and wear of the gilding. These plates measure 22 cm in diameter.
