1960s vintage yellow murano table lamp by mazzega

A beautiful and very rare 1960's vintage floor/ table lamp iin yellow murano glass realized by carlo nason for mazzega, iconic italian piece of scultural design made following the traditional murano glass manufactoring techniques. This lamp is composed of two clear hand blown murano glass globes with clouded yellow detailing.the item structure is realized by two elements in yellow murano glass connected by a steel part placed inside the lamp. Carlo nason was born into a family of expert glassmakers in 1935 in murano, but soon his spirit of experimentation and innovation caught the attention of murano glass lighting manufacturer a. V. Mazzega. The partnership lasted from 1965 until the 1980s and resulted in an array of iconic lighting designs that remain in demand today. Nason's works have been exhibited over the decades in a number of art and design museums and galleries in paris, milan, and new york. Preserved in very good conditions, the lamp still has the original switch and cables that work perfectly. No damages on the glass and some signs of time on the chromed. Fully functional.
