Cansado bench, perriand this famous “cansado” model bench, created by charlotte perriand in 1958 and produced by steph simon for the cansado mining city in mauritania between 1959 and 1967, is a true collector's item. Coming from the cité cansado, its vintage design and the great work done on the mahogany wood to bring out the natural color gives it a very cozy appearance. This bench is used both as a seat but also very often as a coffee table, it's up to you to find the best place for it according to your needs. It is a piece steeped in history signed by a world-renowned designer/architect. It is composed of a base with four legs in black lacquered metal and a succession of 9 mahogany slats forming the seat. In very good vintage condition, it has a very pretty general patina. Minimal restorations have been made on some slats. The bench seat has been refinished.
