Henri deuil (born in 1943) In the shade of pine trees, in oléron. Oil on canvas, signed lower right and dated 2002 on the back. 80 X 80 cm. Henri deuil was born on september 30, 1943 in paris.   At the age of 19, he entered the ecole nationale de paris. There he learned painting techniques in the workshops of the painters rohner and cavailles. Painter of the sea, he is particularly fond of light and landscapes of the atlantic coasts and its islands (oléron, ré, aix), the arcachon basin, the alleys with white houses, green or blue shutters washed out by the sun and spray, hollyhocks with bright colors, cabins on the edge of beaches, salt marshes, the old rigging, the wild coast and its dunes, the sea... He spent part of the year on the island of oléron. In winter he works in a studio in paris which allows him to make his large format paintings. Henri deuil paints a hundred paintings a year that he exhibits on the island of oléron, on the island of ré, and in several galleries.   Many of his works are listed, visible on the internet, reproduced in prints, lithographs, postcards, calendars.
