Scandinavian Svane daybed by Igmar Relling, Norway, 1970s

This Norwegian mid-century daybed Svane was designed by Ingmar Relling for Ekornes and manufactured in the 1970s. It has a sleeping function while fully unfolded and also features a compartment for sheets and blankets underneath. The side table opens smoothly up has a specific stopping point while placed horizontally. A solid teak frame combined with original, well-preserved, checkered wool upholstery in bottle-green color with lime accents gives a mid-century look. Perfect for any living room, office space, or vintage-style lounge. The most striking feature of this piece is the original upholstery, so well preserved. It is a classic Svane pattern, as well as an absolute mark of the 70s decade. We have made sure that all mechanisms work properly.
