Low sideboard in solid walnut late 19th century Louis Philippe. It opens on one hand with two doors revealing a shelf and on the other hand with a large drawer. This piece of furniture can be used to store heavy piles of dishes. It offers considerable space saving since in addition to the dishes, the drawer can be used to store sets of cutlery. This drawer is mounted in a dovetail ensuring perfect solidity. This is how it can be opened daily and contain many objects. It slides perfectly. The entrances are made of wood and are of very beautiful craftsmanship. The lock and key are in working order. The drawer opens using buttons also made of wood. This sideboard rests on legs with beveled edges at the front and two straight legs at the back. The back of the sideboard has solid wood panels, therefore very resistant. The top of the piece of furniture is a solid walnut wooden tray. Decorative objects can be placed there. The doors have identical panels because the latter have been doubled. This is a piece of furniture with character. The interior of the furniture has been cleaned so that the objects are stored in a very healthy and odorless environment. The buffet was once the symbol of social status. Robust and functional, it was reserved for reception rooms. This exceptional example will harmonize with the most popular contemporary interiors such as farmhouses, chalets, industrial houses, country houses.
