Set of three serving dishes, Moulins des Loups, model "Tablecloth"

Set of three fine earthenware serving pieces, made by the Moulins des Loups pottery (Orchies, Nord), model "Nappe", circa 1950-1960. The olive green grid pattern is done with a stencil, the underside of the pieces and the body of the soup tureen are in plain white glaze. The set includes a round soup tureen with two handles, complete with its lid and a knob-shaped grip; a round shallow dish; and a cake plate with two side handles. They are stamped "Orchies – Nord – Moulin des Loups – France" under the round dish and under the cake plate, the latter also bearing the indication "Nappe". The soup tureen is not stamped; it matches the other two pieces in both decoration and colour. In very good overall condition. A small chip on one of the two handles of the soup tureen (see photo). A few small orange stains on the lower edge of the soup tureen lid (see photo). Light signs of use overall. The round dish shows a network of fine crazing in the glaze, characteristic of old earthenware. The pieces are sold together. Dimensions: Soup tureen with lid: 33 x 14 x 28 cm / Round dish: 25.5 x 7.5 x 25.5 cm / Cake plate: 30.5 x 1.5 x 27 cm. Careful packaging.
