Stunning kang coffee table originating from the rural gansu region of china. Made from lacquered wood at the very beginning of the 20th century, it bears witness to the quality and finesse of local craftsmanship at that time. The kang was a space of a few square meters in the living room of the house under which snaked pipes heated by the fumes from the fireplace. The ancestor of underfloor heating, so to speak. The inlaid top is composed of geometric and graphic patterns in colors and shapes typical of the country's style. The base is covered in an intense, shiny black. Of course, its 120 years of life have left some traces of wear. Here and there, a few "pok" or other scratches which reinforce the authentic appearance of this very beautiful piece of furniture. This vintage kang coffee table will be the exotic element of your decor. Dimensions: l 66 X d 66 X h 26 weight 12 kg.
