Vintage 1960s architect lamp Luxo L1 black mid-century design - 80 cm

Vintage Luxo L1 architect's lamp in black lacquered metal from around 1960 in good condition. This stunning vintage piece designed by Jacob Jacobsen has sold over a million units since its creation (it is the descendant or evolution of the famous Pixar lamp, the designer's lamp). The colour is superb, showing signs of age and a very pleasant patina, with just the right amount of wear. The springs are also in good condition. Special mention goes to the thick clamp that allows for numerous adjustments. It is signed at the base, and the famous US Patent can be found on the top. It works with a screw bulb not included, and the push switch on the top of the shade functions properly. It measures 80cm in height, 70cm in depth, and the shade is 21cm wide.
