Multiple chairs by Joseph Mathieu 1927

Set of 3 stackable metal chairs dating from the early productions of the famous multipl's chair created by the Lyonnais engineer Joseph Mathieu. This model is significant as it is the first patent filed in 1922 for a stackable chair. They were probably manufactured in a still artisanal way between 1927 and 1929. The welds are visible, the backrest is in a "hollow" V shape, and most importantly, the perforated wooden seats are original, which is rare. The metal has been stripped and shows a beautiful patina. The seats deserve a little restoration.
