Superb and rare, a Modernist double-neck vase made of speckled chamotte stoneware from the 1950s. Its open and organic silhouette offers a magnificent sculptural presence, very representative of this artistic production from Vallauris at that time. This authentic piece comes from the famous Poterie du Grand ChĂȘne, a renowned workshop founded in the late 1940s by Odette Gourju and Lujba Naumovitch (where Jacques Innocenti also worked). The underside of the piece is duly stamped with the workshop's mark representing its iconic stylised tree. Its raw and textured aesthetic integrates perfectly into a Mid-century Brutalist or contemporary decor, the style of the Accolay community. A collector's item in impeccable condition.
