Ancient and fine kachan prayer carpet - iran. Around 1930 / 1940. Quality silky lamb wool velvet on cotton foundations. Density. Approx. 7/8000 knots at dm2. Sun. 203 X 134 cm. Good condition. Ivory field with crenellated mirhab, hanging oil lamp, vase of finely drawn polychrome flowers surrounded by stylized birds. Wide main border ruby with seedlings of multicolored stylized bulbs and flower buds.
