Artifort Mushroom chair

Pierre Paulin’s first collaboration with Artifort—the iconic Mushroom Chair—marks a significant turning point in the history of modern furniture design. It was the very first chair with a structure completely concealed within a single, fluid, sculptural form. A tubular metal frame, composed of interlocking circular shapes, was encased in high-quality foam and then upholstered in a stretch fabric. Product name: Artifort Mushroom Armchair.
