Superb set of 4 small glazed stoneware bowls (also perfect as presentation dishes) from the famous Poterie de la Colombe, an art workshop founded in 1960 by the ceramist Madeleine Brault. These unique pieces in a Mid-Century Modern and Brutalist style feature the famous "Tachiste" decor, emblematic of the workshop. Dark and brown oxide projections on a cream white glaze create unique abstract patterns, enhanced by the contrast with the visible reddish stoneware base. Entirely handcrafted, each bowl is stamped on its base with the famous relief mark representing a stylised dove with the inscription "Colombe France". Ideal for aperitifs (olives, dried fruits, tapas), for presenting individual sauces, or as condiment bowls, they will add an authentic and refined touch to a characterful table. Dimensions: • Diameter: 10 cm. • Height: 6 cm. The 4 pieces are in excellent condition: no chips, no cracks, perfectly preserved shiny glaze. This set is part of a beautiful stoneware table service for 8 people. The other pieces are also available in my shop to create a harmonious set: • 8 dinner plates. • 8 soup bowls (deep plates). • 1 large soup tureen with its lid. • 1 large round serving platter (diameter 30 cm). • 1 rectangular dish. A great opportunity to acquire a complete service signed by Poterie de la Colombe, rare on the market.
