Cylinder desk with a lower section and two-tiered steps on the upper part. There are two drawers on the steps to the left and right, and a bevelled mirror in the centre. Once the cylinder is opened, three drawers and three storage compartments are accessible just above. This also provides access to a green felt writing tablet that slides out to extend beyond the piece. A large lockable drawer is located beneath the tablet. This refined piece is made of an oak frame, mahogany, and mahogany veneer. The steps are adorned with a bronze gallery. The piece is decorated with brass strips around the edges and in the flutes, as well as bronze handles and lock entries. The drawers and the cylinder are finished with Martin varnish, featuring floral decorations on the drawers and a romantic scene on the cylinder. Both locks are in perfect working order and come with their keys. The overall condition of the piece is very good, with some very fine losses on the Martin varnish, barely visible without close inspection, and an ink stain in the right drawer inside the cylinder.
