Description
Period: ca. 1920. A very elegant set in faience. The main room that houses the clock, is a little wider and larger than the two ornamental side rooms. All three are made of white earthenware, have a vaulted pediment above two columns in round hump, and a colorful exotic bird (or is it a pheasant?) in high relief. Each piece is decorated with a floral relief and gilding décor. Only the facades have been decorated. The dial is a kind of paper. There are brands on the base: the amc brand and the number 162. Amc refers to auguste mouzin's faiencerie - co. Located in wasmuel, belgium. It was active between 1878 and 1951. The faiencerie was best known for its decorative pieces in the art deco style. State: Good. There is no damage to the ceramic body. The colors of the birds are bright but the gilding (edges and on the flowers) is heavily worn. The clock mechanism is not currently operational, but all the parts are present and therefore, in principle, it can be restarted. Size: See photo.
