Primitive Folk Art Chair

Traditional antique mountain chair from southern germany. This characteristic and primitive chair is made entirely by hand and is connected with mortise and tenon joints. This copy is made of pine wood and was once painted in a brown color. This old paint is worn in many places and the chair has a beautiful patina. Minimal traces of use can be seen, such as some old woodworm holes in the legs. These have of course been checked and treated. The chair is sturdy and suitable for daily use. A nice detail is the old, primitive repair on the back of the backrest. The date is around 1850. 44cm seat height, 88cm back height, 43cm wide, 40cm deep.
