Oil painting on canvas - Henri Bargin - Hauts de Cagnes

Beautiful oil on canvas signed by Henri Bargin, depicting a lively street in Haut-de-Cagnes, titled on the back "Haut-de-Cagnes, rue du Vieux Four." The scene is constructed around a play of alleys, stairs, and old facades bathed in light. The texture is particularly present, with a thickly applied paint that gives a lot of relief to the stones, walls, and characters. The palette mixes stone tones, ochres, bluish grays, and brighter touches, in a very Mediterranean spirit. The painting is presented in its old, patinated white and wood frame, which perfectly highlights the character of the work. Dimensions with frame: 55 × 47 × D 8 cm. Technique: oil on canvas. Artist: Henri Bargin. Subject: Haut-de-Cagnes, rue du Vieux Four. Style: figurative painting / urban landscape / Mediterranean. Beautiful overall patina of the frame and the piece, consistent with the age of the work. A very decorative painting, ideal for an old interior, a village house, a country house, or Mediterranean decor.
