The Solar chaise longue by Carlo Bartoli, made of fibreglass and lacquered polyester resin, was produced by Arflex in 1967. This piece is part of the permanent collection of MoMA in New York. It is in very good original condition, with a few small chips on the edges. The glossy ivory finish is still vibrant and has not been restored. Carlo Bartoli (1931-2020), a renowned Italian architect and designer, was famous for his innovative and functional furniture designs. He collaborated with prestigious brands such as Kartell, Arflex, and Bonaldo, creating elegant and practical pieces. His works, including the Gaia armchair (1967), are featured in the collections of MoMA and the Centre Pompidou.
