Karabakh carpets from the composition we presented were first woven in the 17th century in the bardinsky district. Previously, these rugs were called "hojavend". Khojavend is the name of a village located 4 km from the center of agjabedin district. It is noteworthy that one of the places where carpet weaving is distributed near tabriz is called "gozha". Shahabbasi carpets, created by professional carpet masters in the 16th century, influenced the formation of a new goja composition in the territory of northern azerbaijan. Since the 19th century, highly skilled karabakh carpet weavers have perfected the "goja" composition and transformed it into an independent composition.
