Set of 4 glasses with stem in acid-engraved crystal in pantogravure - guilloche volutes 11cm

This series of 4 antique stemmed glasses is made of crystal decorated with guilloche friezes. The pantogravure decoration is elegant: a guilloché ornament of delicate scrolls. This guilloche technique is widespread in the 19th century and at the very beginning of the 20th century: the crystal was coated with a wax and the decoration is drawn with a needle in pantogravure in wax, then the object is immersed in an acid bath that attacks the crystal bare. In good condition, these lenses measure 11 cm high X 5 cm in diameter. I report a defect on a foot and scratches of use. In this guilloché model, the carafe and other glass sizes are also available.
