Neither too precious nor too banal, this large pressed glass bowl plays the card of retro charm without fuss. With its diamond-point relief decoration, the pretty details of its rim, its thick glass and its subtle reflections, it evokes the cozy living rooms of the 50s, the well-stocked buffets and festive Sundays. Perfect for holding fresh fruit, cakes or even a few dried seasonal tassels, it also easily finds its place as a chic trinket tray or a luminous centerpiece. Clear pressed glass, unsigned. Probably French or Belgian work, 1940s–60s: popular production, this type of object was often made by Verrerie de Vannes-le-Châtel or Portieux (in France), Val-Saint-Lambert (for more affordable pieces in Belgium) or sometimes even glassworks from the East or the North for everyday use, without signature. Diameter 22 cm, height 8 cm Very good general condition. Some micro marks of use under the base, invisible in use.
