Faux wood garden table

Round in shape, this table imitates the trunk of a tree with figuration of the bark and veining of the wood, which is quite characteristic of the rocaille style. In the nineteenth century, italian masons who came to settle in provence imported the technique of rockery, known as false wood. This art of ornamentation of nature in concrete, naïve and rustic art added a grain of madness in the provencal gardens. Imitating nature, this naïve art, very fashionable in provençal houses at the end of the nineteenth century, a little forgotten, is put back in the spotlight. This piece of character will find its place both indoors and outdoors.
