Large japanese handmade potiche/vase with lid/glazed ceramic, in imari style, signed under the bottom. Set with scenes of geisha life on a background of wild nature (pontoons, rivers, boats, pagodas, cherry trees) enhanced by richly decorated floral friezes. Bell-shaped lid with floral decoration. The illustrations take up the 3 expensive colors of the imari style, namely cobalt blue, iron red pulling towards saffron, all on a white background. Dimensions/height. 46 cm. Width 20 cm to + wide.
