Vintage glass jug

Magnificent large vintage frosted glass jug, decorated with numerous horizontal golden stripes. A very beautiful piece with an elegant design typical of Mid-Century Modern from the 1950s–1960s. The decoration is particularly refined: wide golden bands highlight the upper part, then gradually become thinner towards the base. The contrast between the satin glass, the gilding, and the large transparent handle gives this carafe a very chic and graphic look. The shape and decoration recall certain European productions, notably Bohemian and Czechoslovakian glass from the mid-20th century. The manufacturer is not definitively identified, so the piece is offered as vintage European glassware, circa 1950–1960. Ideal as a water jug, beverage carafe, vintage bar piece, or simply as a decorative object in a retro, Art Deco revival, or Mid-Century interior. Height: approx. 25 cm. Diameter: approx. 12 cm.
