Large impressive academic drawing by renée belvaux (1903-1984), belgian artist from liège, signed top left with the initials of the artist, 1922-23. Beautiful large xl format, detailed study of the female body, note the finesse in which the muscles and female forms are displayed, this drawing was made with charcoal on paper, not framed. Renée made this drawing when she was 19 or 20 and she later became part of what is called the liège landscape school ('ecole liégeoise du paysage'). The majority of her works were oil paintings and were about the landscape in her living environment, liège. She also often painted portraits, sometimes watercolor but mostly oil on canvas. The drawing will be carefully packaged and shipped rolled up. In very good antique condition, over 100 years old, but very well preserved, minimal wear to the corners, check the photos for more details! Dimensions: 85x60cm.
