Set of 6 smokey “Plia” chairs by Giancarlo Piretti

Set of 6 smokey 'Plia' chairs by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli (Italy, 1970s). Designed in 1967, the Plia is considered one of the most successful folding chair designs of the 20th century. Its ingenious three-disc hinge mechanism allows it to fold down to a remarkably compact size. The translucent smoky polycarbonate seat and backrest, combined with a chrome-plated steel frame, give the chairs a distinctive light and elegant appearance. Timeless in design, lightweight and practical, they remain as relevant today as when they were first introduced. The chairs are in good vintage condition with normal age-related traces such as rust and scratches.
