Anglo-Indian cabinet, presumably made in India in the early 20th century, during the British colonial period. The piece is crafted from solid hardwood, most likely teak, and features extensive hand-carved woodwork. The design combines traditional Indian ornamentation with influences from the British furniture tradition. The front is characterised by richly decorated panels featuring large, fan-shaped rosettes, surrounded by refined floral and geometric motifs. The cornices and plinth are also adorned with decorative carvings. The lower section features several cupboard doors and a central open compartment with a shelf. It is thought that the upper section originally served as a cupboard as well. Today, it functions as a decorative display unit with non-opening doors and a central mirror. Dimensions: 220H X 220W X 57D cm.
