Laundry basket wicker

This large basket in light wicker has a truncated inverted pyramid shape with a rectangular base, slightly of guingois attesting to its artisanal manufacture. He has a handle on one side, probably he had two at the beginning of his life. Perfect as a laundry basket in a bathroom, or to store stuffed animals and dolls in a child's room. I cleaned it carefully: dusting with a brush and vacuum cleaner, then leaching with a brush. It is now very clean, nevertheless the strands of the bottom keep some darker traces. It is in good general condition, stable and still very solid but does not hide its age: a few broken or "skinned" strands including three on an outer face, and one on the high rim. Two strands protruded a little just under the high rim, I used two pieces of discreet string to keep them in place and thus prevent us from clinging to them. It measures 41 cm in height, 50 cm with the handle. The high aperture measures 52 cm by 41 cm, the base measures 32 cm by 21 cm. The basket weighs just over 1.2 kg.
