Orange slice armchair by Pierre Paulin

The F437 model by Artifort, better known as the Orange Slice chair, was designed by the French designer Pierre Paulin for the Dutch manufacturer Artifort in Maastricht in the mid-20th century. Inspired by the technique of bending plywood, Paulin created a variety of lounge chairs with an organic and pop art aesthetic. The Orange Slice chair became an iconic piece of this collaboration, establishing Paulin as a major figure in French and international design. This example, dating from the 1990s, was displayed in a private library and has been very lightly used. It retains its original orange wool fabric, which is clean and in very good condition, with minimal wear. Dimensions: Height 68 cm, Width 85 cm, Depth 80 cm.
