Rare and elegant wall mirror in glazed ceramic attributed to Mithé Espelt (1923–2020), a major figure in 20th-century French ceramics. This model features an emblematic decoration of the artist: a couple of stylised birds facing each other, separated by a central heart, a recurring symbol in her work. The frame is adorned with hand-painted vegetal friezes, coloured dots, and a golden thread (liquid gold) surrounding the mirror. The back is covered with its original green felt (patinated), with chain suspension, in line with the productions of the workshop. Overall good condition considering its age: slight losses of gilding and micro-chips at the edges, natural patina of the mirror, discoloured back felt. No structural cracks. Decoration intact and very legible. Piece from a private collection, kept for several decades.
