Antique Mediterranean terracotta jar H12.5cm

Antique and rare small terracotta jar, probably of Mediterranean origin (Greece or Near East) which was used to store liquids such as oil, wine or perfumes, dating from the 19th or early 20th century. Single handle and rounded and squat shape, patinated terracotta and beautiful textured surface. Its unique patina makes it a real piece of history to display in a library, a display case or on a shelf. Beautiful condition, with traces of wear and natural patina attesting to its antiquity. Dimensions: H 12.5 cm X 16 cm diameter. Weight: 700 g.
