Large designer marble lamp by Vera Fabre, Verre Lumière edition

Rare and imposing lamp by the designer for Knoll International in marble marquetry. Its square-section base is formed by a stack of black and gray marble slabs, from which rises a chrome-plated stem with two lights, supporting a height-adjustable plate housing an ivory lampshade. This rare example from the 1970s is typical of the Bauhaus and modernist influence, and combines them with the nobility of two-tone marble. The base is in excellent condition (38 cm high), with a minor chip on one of the marble sections; the original lampshade in used condition.
