Set of 4 Fischel bistro chairs. No. 196, circa 1932 No Thonet, no Baumann

Set of 4 Fischel chairs, No. 196. Made by Fischel France (Wissembourg) around 1930/1932. Total Height: 94 cm. Seat Height: 46.5 cm. Seat Dimensions: 37 x 39 cm. All seats are original, plain, and sturdy. This model is a variation of the Kohn model, No. 369, circa 1912, often attributed to Joseph Hoffmann (see attached Kohn catalog). I have also included an image of the different chairs produced following the release of the chair designed by Hoffmann by several European brands between 1915 and 1935. The set is in excellent condition, under rosewood shellac. Each chair has its label and an aluminum plate on the back, which is no longer clearly legible. We can equip these chairs free of charge with screw-on glides (made in Germany), suitable for the flooring of the room where they will be used. This work will be done after purchase. The chairs will then have a seat height of 47 cm. More photos and information available upon request. Shipping within France and Europe or collection in Alsace.
