1950s wooden and metal boarding school bedside table

Boarding school bedside table attributed to Jacques Hitier for Tubauto, vintage reconstruction period, 1950s/60s. This piece of furniture designed for small communities was found in boarding schools, dormitories, barracks... This one comes from the Palente boarding school in France. Today it finds its place everywhere, as an extra, end table, child's or adult's bedroom... 💠 A piece of furniture that perfectly meets the very definition of design: functional, made to last, modern and beautiful. Original light gray tubular metal structure topped by a blond wood box with drawer; in the lower part, a folded sheet offers an open storage space serving as a magazine rack. Dimensions: 40x40 H 60 cm. Weight 6 kg Good to very good original condition of conservation considering age with minimal traces of use (the pencil inscriptions inside the drawer, part of its history, have not been erased).
