Empire table, extendable, solid walnut, with extensions on slides in dovetail bearing four stabilizing feet. Shape: rectangular plus a rounded flap (half-hanger) retractable at each end. Les dimensions. Height 72 cm, Width 144 cm (called by this site "depth") Very flexible length (see sketch) (called on the site "width") 1. Reduced version: 121cm (less would be possible but uncomfortable) 2. Extended version up to 276cm taking into account: two rounded ends folding 21cm. five extensions in solid walnut (3 of 42 cm, 2 of 33cm) of the 6th extension in ordinary wood (45 cm) The elegance of the walnut tree allows, if you do not use the 6th extension, to present a table that can do without tablecloth up to 231 cm (10 very comfortable people – possibility 12). With the 6th extension (and therefore a tablecloth) we comfortably accommodate 12 people – 14 possible. And of course, by playing on the flaps and the number and sizes of the extensions, there are many intermediate possibilities to adjust to the available space. Why we sell this table: because, our children having grown up, we relocate ourselves to a small apartment. The table does not find its place elegantly. Disadvantage (resulting from an advantage: the extensions fit into each other along their entire length, which gives a very homogeneous result). But the maneuvering of the extensions requires effort. Once in place, it's perfect.
